International Women Hope Centre (IWHC) has trained some twenty (20) nursing women of the Yabongo Community in the Bolgatanga Municipality of the Upper East Region on Liquid Soap Making. The training which took place at the Yabongo CHPs saw sort to among other things offer opportunity to the nursing mothers to be financially independent by selling their products especially those who will consider it as a full-time business.
The Centre Director, Madam Gladys Anayem while stating the purpose of the training added that, the effort of women, especially mothers in keeping their homes was very important. Without form of financial assistance, raising their children could be seen as punishment rather than a blessing it’s supposed to be. She added that with the training, they could learn to make the soap and sell it out to make some extra money that could be used in taking care of the home.
During the exhortation, the women were taught to appreciate the work of God and the plans God has for them. They were made to understand that God had a plan or everyone and that He loves us all in spite of our sinfulness. There was a prayer for the group and the profession of the sinners prayr.
the training begun with a demonstration from the IWHC team. The resource person took participants through the step-by-step procedure. After the demonstration, participants were grouped to make their own liquid soap following the earlier steps.
Nurse Hilda, a volunteer nurse of IWHC and the nurse for the facility appreciated the significant impact the training would have on the lives of the trained participants. She further appreciated the support from the organization to a client (15years) she im-promptly reported while she was in labor with complications at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.
A representative of the women appreciated the leaders of the organization for the training to nursing mothers. She prayed for God to continuously bless the organization and its workers to always have them at heart.
