IWHC Sensitizes Women on the Impact of Worry and Financial Independence
The International Women’s Hope Center (IWHC) has engaged women in the Bongo District on the issue of worry, highlighting its causes, effects, and why wives should avoid excessive worry. The session, led by Madam Rose Abednego, took place at the premises of the Madina Health Center in the Upper East Region.
Madam Abednego identified poverty as a major cause of worry among women and encouraged them to take economic empowerment seriously. As part of efforts to equip them with practical skills, the women were trained in liquid soap making, with a call to turn the skill into a business venture. She emphasized that financial independence would enable them to support their children and husbands, reducing financial stress in their homes.
The interactive session allowed participants to ask questions and seek clarifications on the subject.
IWHC also expressed appreciation to the nurses of the Madina Health Center for inviting them to engage with the women.
The initiative forms part of IWHC’s commitment to empowering women with knowledge and skills to improve their livelihoods and overall well-being.
