In a bid to promote economic empowerment among women, the International Women’s Hope Centre has trained forty-three (43) women on liquid soap making. The training program, which took place in Madina, a suburb in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region, equipped the women with the skills and knowledge to produce high-quality liquid soap. The initiative aims to provide women especially nursing mothers with a sustainable source of income and enhance their economic independence.
Engaging the beneficiary women before the training, the center Director noted the benefits of empowering women in as a key to unlocking their potential.
“We are thrilled to provide this opportunity to the women of Madina. We believe that economic empowerment is key to unlocking the potential of women, and we are committed to supporting them in their endeavors.”
The training program was well-received by the participants, who expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to acquire new skills. They also indicated their readiness to start their own business.
Lamisi Ayambire, a beneficiary of the training said, “This training has opened my eyes to the possibilities of entrepreneurship. I am excited to start my own soap making business and provide for my family.”
The International Women’s Hope Centre plans to continue providing training and support to women in the community, with the goal of promoting economic empowerment and self-sufficiency.
