donation to winkongo health centre

International Women’s Hope Centre made a donation of twenty-eight (28) baby items and two (2) gallons of liquid soaps to teenage mothers and the Winkongo Health facility respectively in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region. The donation forms part of the IWHC’s core objective of caring for the well-being of the girl child especially teenage mothers and other teenage pregnant girl expecting to deliver.

Presenting the items to the teenage girls, Mrs. Gladys Anayem who is the Center Director of the NGO encouraged the pregnant teenage girls not to practice abortion. She said children are blessings from God and must therefore be taken care of.

The In-charge of the facility, Mrs. Janet Awiah was thankful to IWHC. She added that, the baby items received by the teenage girls will go a long way to help them as they near their expected day of delivery (EDD). She however appealed to the NGO to regularly visit her facility to educate her teenage girls on abstinence.
